The practitioners are exposed to methods of operation from many sources and can implement them in their personal practice. The fire service is no different except that the pursuit of higher education is relatively new to this industry.

There are many benefits to this endeavor the most important of which is safety. The service benefits from the research conducted by individuals and organizations that results in best practices.
